Double-Height Lobby with Cascading Pendant Chandelier
About Lobby Area Interiors
Common questions from homeowners.
It is the double height. The lobby opens up over the stairwell, and a long chandelier of hanging glass drops falls right through that tall space, so the moment you reach the landing it feels like the heart of the home.
The railing around the stairwell opening mixes clear glass panels with a wood top rail and slim brass posts. The glass keeps the view open while the brass adds a bit of warmth and shine.
One side has a large framed artwork in blues and golds, and another wall carries a gold lotus-motif art piece. They keep the lobby from feeling like just a passage and give it a proper focal point.
The floor is white marble with a deep maroon marble border running around it. That border neatly frames the landing and ties in with the warm wood and brass tones.
A full double height needs the architecture for it, but the same idea, a statement pendant, glass railing and a marble border, works on a normal landing too. Share your floor plan and the designer can adapt it.
