It can, if you scale the parts. The marble does not have to run the full height. A shorter panel with the fluted bands and one piece of art gets the same effect in less space. The pink columns can shrink to slim borders rather than full pilasters. A marble-look large tile or laminate costs a good deal less than natural stone and looks much the same from across a room, which is worth weighing in a smaller budget.

A cassette air conditioner set into the ceiling does the cooling from above, which keeps the walls clear of any wall-mounted unit.
