Master Bedroom with Blue Botanical Wall

A low upholstered platform bed in a pale cream, with a soft curved headboard. What needs the width here is the window seating and the long wardrobe-plus-cabinet run. In a tighter room you would keep the wallpaper and bed, shorten the wardrobe and drop the wingback chair. It is a sensible bedroom floor. Laminate is warmer and quieter to walk on than tile, which suits a room you use barefoot, and a light wood tone keeps the space feeling open. It wipes clean and resists everyday scuffs, though it does not like standing water, so spills near the balcony door want mopping up quickly. Compared with solid wood it costs less and copes better with our humidity.

The built-in storage leads it. The full white wardrobe, the glass-front display cabinet and the floating TV console are all made to measure, and that joinery is the bulk of the spend, not the bed or the chair. The wallpaper is a smaller line. Lighting like the disc pendant and niche strips adds a little.
